Beef with root vegetables - winter salad
- Ingredients
- Beef with root vegetables
- 400 g lean minced beef
- 250 g carrots
- 400 g potatoes
- 100 g onions
- 100 g green peppers
- 1 tablespoon of olive oil
- 15 g low fat spread
- 30 g wheat flour
- 400 ml skimmed milk
- Salt
- Pepper
- 240 g coarse rolls
- Winter salad
- 600 g carrots
- 300 g cabbage
- 60 g raisins
- 60 ml unsweetened orange juice
Beef with root vegetables
Peel and slice the potatoes and carrots. Boil them in a little water, c.15 min until they are almost tender. Rinse and chop the onion and pepper. Fry the chopped meat, onion, and pepper in a pan in a little oil. Sauce: Melt the margarine and whisk in the flour. After, whisk the milk in slowly and let the sauce heat thoroughly. Add salt and pepper to taste. In a greased, ovenproof dish place the vegetables, meat and sauce in layers. Finish with the sauce. Sprinkle rasp over. Bake in an oven for c. 30 min.
Serve with coarse rolls.
Winter salad
Peel the carrots and coarsely grate them. Cut the cabbage into strips and combine with carrots. Add the raisins. Pour orange juice over.
